On Monday, September 13, Hardin-Simmons University will partner with the Baptist General Convention of Texas Bible Study Team and numerous regional Pastors and Ministers to present a free, one-day resourcing conference on Bible Study in the local church. (Program Below)
The conference, titled "A Heart for Teaching: Bible Study in a Congregational Context", will explore the impact of a holistic approach to Bible Study throughout the preaching, teaching and service ministries of the church while inspiring church leaders in their call to be teachers.Pastors, ministers, Bible Study leaders and teachers, deacons, students, or anyone in your congregation passionate about teaching God's Word will benefit from this regional conference.
The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. with attendee check-in. Though the conference is free, attendees must register to attend. Attendees who register on or by Thursday, September 9th will receive complimentary tickets to the Bible Study Resourcing Luncheon being held at Noon (if available, remaining tickets will be offered to attendees based on their date and time of registration). Three general sessions and a breakout and discussion time will provide attendees opportunity to dialogue with presenters and with one another so they can perhaps take home new ideas or be reassured that their role as a teacher makes a difference.The conference will conclude at 4:00 p.m. with a powerful final general session "Teaching with Purpose".
