Hardin-Simmons University and Logsdon Seminary administer a wide-range of scholarships, grants, and fellowships. All students at Logsdon enjoy a reduced tuition rate because of the generosity of donors. Students may also qualify for a wide range of other scholarships and grants that are described below. This financial aid has been made available by HSU, Logsdon Seminary, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, individuals, and churches. All financial aid is administered through the Logsdon Financial Aid office (325.670.1268).
Financial aid and scholarships may vary for Logsdon students at Corpus Christi, Lubbock, and San Antonio. Consult the catalog and student handbook addenda for those campuses.
Baptist General Convention of Texas Ministerial Financial Aid
Through funds from the Cooperative Program of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, Ministerial Financial Aid is available for most Baptist students enrolled in Logsdon Seminary. In the first year of enrollment, a student who has membership with a Baptist church may receive these funds. In order to continue receiving these funds after the first year, a student must be a member of church that is affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. This scholarship is available to part-time and full-time students. Entering students complete a BGCT Ministerial Financial Aid Church Certification form. Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Leadership Scholarships
A few Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Leadership Scholarships are available for Logsdon Seminary students who exemplify leadership in academics and ministry and who express a commitment to Baptist principles and an approach to ministry and missions compatible with that of the CBF. This scholarship is available to full-time students (enrolling in at least 9 hours in a long semester). Logsdon Dean’s Scholarships
Each year a limited number of Logsdon Dean’s Scholarships are available to outstanding graduates in religion from Baptist colleges and universities. These scholarships are normally awarded based on a nomination from the religion faculty of the school from which they graduated with a baccalaureate degree in religion. Interested students should contact the religion faculty at their Baptist university to request nomination. Students who have graduated from Baptist universities with degrees in religion may also apply for the scholarship by completing the application which can be downloaded below. This scholarship is available to full-time students (enrolling in at least 9 hours in a long semester).

Logsdon Merit Scholarships
Each year a limited number of Merit Scholarships are available to students based on academic performance and ministry aptitude. E. Edward Schmeltekopf Servant Leadership Scholarship
The Schmeltekopf Servant Leadership Scholarship is a one-time grant of $1,000 presented to a first year student at Logsdon Seminary who is a graduate of a BGCT affiliated university. Nominations for the scholarship are made to BGCT Logsdon's office of financial aid in consultation with other faculty members and administrators. The deadline for receiving nominations is June 15. Claud Slate Bi-vocational Scholarship Fund
The Slate Bi-vocational Scholarship is available to Baptist students who have a sense of calling into bi-vocational ministry. The deadline for the submission of an application to the Texas Baptist Bi-vocational Ministers and Spouses Association is May 1. Church Match Grants

Logsdon Seminary has other scholarship funds which may be available to students who meet specific criteria established for particular scholarships. For example, women students anticipating ministry in missions or missions education may be eligible for scholarships provided by the Woman’s Missionary Union; donors sometimes provide scholarships for particular ethnic groups; and at times scholarship funds are available based on student financial need.
Logsdon grants a number of Graduate Assistantships each year for up to $1200 per semester. Graduate Assistants serve in various roles to assist Logsdon's academic programs under the supervision of Logsdon faculty or staff. An assistantship involves approximately 10 hours of work per week through a fall or spring semester. GA's are required to be full-time students (enrolling in at least 9 hours in a long semester) and are selected based on academic achievement and aptitude for particular tasks.
